Blacks in Technology International plans to establish offices in Canada and Europe by 2021 and will join a local member with over 5,000 members in nearly a dozen divisions across the United States.

Members who play an active role in mentoring programs are an important part of the organization, regardless of the chapter position. Members are placed as mentors for young professionals or students with older, established professionals.

The chapter is open to anyone of color who is directly or indirectly involved in STEM, from founders to technology professionals and parents of STEM students.

Black Tech Nation defines its strategy as “Collect. Connect. Influence”. Following this guiding principle, the organization organizes local meetings, works with technology companies to implement new policies and programs for black students in Pittsburgh. Black Tech is disconnecting

Black Tech Unplugged is a podcast created to empower and inspire people with color in technology.

It was created by Deena McKay, who was inspired to spread the message about the success of black technology after experiencing it firsthand, as well as Kimberly Bryant, the isolation associated with a black woman in technology.

In each episode of the podcast, McKay asks a prominent black technologist about her successes and ongoing projects, how they got to where they are today, and what future professionals can do to follow in her footsteps.

Black innovation center

The Center for Black Innovation is an organization that has brought together young and innovative black minds for the past six years to learn in seminars and discussions, exchange ideas, and solve common problems.

The organization focuses on four main areas: capital and socio-economic mobility, ecosystems, and coalitions, education and mobility, social justice, and innovation policies to build spaces for talent in black communities.

Black Women Tech Talk is a collection of black tech entrepreneurs who want to identify, support and encourage interested black women to start tech businesses.

The organization was founded by TrinaNoir, co-founder Regina Gwynn, co-founder of CoSign Esosa Ighodaro, and co-founder of Fund Lauren Washington, and has more than 500 members and ten local offices.

The organization also hosts the country’s only conference for black founders, the Roadmap to Billions Conference, which offers entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn, network, and access opportunities.

Code 2040

Code2040 is a non-profit organization that offers internships for color engineering students at major technology companies and new companies.
