Summer of Stacks 2021

To get inside, create a 16: 9 slide that illustrates how you conceptualize your marketing stacks – the different tools you use, but more importantly, how you think about how they fit together.

Summer is coming! (Well, at least in the Northern Hemisphere.) Fresh air, sun, and outdoor fun have never been more attractive after a seemingly endless year indoors. I hope you have time to walk in the forest, roll on the grass or dip your feet in the sea.

Marketing continues to adapt to the “new standard” of innovative digital customer experiences and digital business operations. Stackies is probably the most educational rewards program in marketing. Dozens of organizations publish a 16 × 9 slide each year that visualizes their marketing stack – the collection of Martech software they use – and how they feel about its structure. So let’s put everyone, unnoticed so that everyone in the market can learn from these examples.

Over the course of six years, it has produced a collection of hundreds of marketing stacks – see the stacks for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 – that have helped thousands of marketers better understand technology systems.

In addition to the marketing community, the Stacks are :

• Discover the scope and structure of your marketing hope

• Create a great slide to explain your stack to interested people

• Reward your Martech vendors with rewards in your stack

• Attract marketing talent to collaborate with your stack

• Promote your brand in the marketing industry

• raise money for a good cause (we donate $ 100 to COOP Careers for each stack)

To get inside, create a 16: 9 slide that illustrates how you conceptualize your marketing stack – the different tools you use, but more importantly, how you think about how they fit together.

It doesn’t have to be a sophisticated work of art (although some items are). Sharing the basic composition and organization of your stack is an extremely valuable contribution to the community. We all learn from the collective patterns that emerge.

You can create your own slides in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or any other application. Export the last slide as 1600 × 900 pixels or 16: 9 PDF JPG, PNG, or GIF image.

There is no cost to enter. In fact, for each qualifying offer (for example, a large stack of chips), we will donate $ 100 to COOP Careers, up to a total of $ 10,000.

We release the battery from all batteries and perform a memorial service at the Martech Virtual Conference from 14-15 September. According to our judges, five particularly “noteworthy” works will receive trophies.

But simply by going in and helping everyone to do marketing. To get inside, create a 16: 9 slide that conceptualizes your marketing stack – the different tools you use, but more importantly, how you think about how they fit together.

It does not have to be the file

Bonus opportunities for early placements

These stacked slides are a great way for marketers to learn from examples of different actual marketing technology implementations. We want to highlight even more.

If you send your Stackie in advance, in May, June, or July, we will select the most interesting ones we receive each month in advance and propose them in your article. If you are open, we will interview you about the story behind your stack.

This will be the summer of batteries!

Your experience, perceptions, and perspectives will be greatly appreciated by your colleagues.

Ideas for designing your slide stack

One of the most fascinating aspects of The Stackies is seeing the different goals people set to see their marketing stack. There is only one way to look at a stack. It is helpful to analyze your stack in different dimensions to better understand the interaction between technology, process, and team and its impact on the customer experience.

If you’re looking for ideas to illustrate your stack, this is a great place to check out examples from previous entries in The Stackies.

People have arranged the slides in the stack in different ways:

• Workflow between teams

• In the phases of the customer journey

• For activities within the marketing and related divisions

• With a “rhythm layer” architecture (eg Microsoft stack)

• The evolution of your battery over time

• According to the product categories used by the marketing technology scenario and many others. Or try a new stack view you’ve invented! We can’t wait to see what you do.
